My parents have owned the same Italian restaurant for over 25 years. When they came to America they started the restaurant business in the spirit of old Italy, using indigenous materials, fresh herbs and cooking it the classic Italian way. It is probably one of the most celebrated and visited Italian restaurants in our city mainly because of the authenticity and feel when you enter our restaurant. Of course this meant that some of the cooking, heating and cooling mechanisms of our establishment were a bit old school so for the 26th anniversary of the restaurant I wanted to get my parents a gift that was practical but wouldn’t overstep the traditions of the restaurant. I found the perfect idea from a restaurant equipment catalog that I found on the internet; a wine cooler refrigerator.

This way we didn’t have to store our wine separately and could even be displayed for the customers to select a vintage on their own. At first when I told my parents what I had gotten for their restaurant I thought they were going to be upset by my dad actually liked the idea. I was so excited that my gift was warmly accepted and now stands in the bar of our restaurant.
